Children with physical, psychological, and mental disabilities are often regarded as weak, defective, unintelligent, and a burden. While there are many people showing kindness to them, they often have to learn to face insults, hardships, persecutions, difficulties, and being left out or ignored nevertheless.
TAM Center is a Christian nonprofit organization. We seek to glorify God by showing God’s grace and power through building respectful, loving and supportive communities in all our classes where our students can grow stronger to face life’s challenges.
Our Adaptive Martial Arts program seeks to build physical, mental, emotional strength and endurance in our students with their individual special needs in mind. Our training exercises are adaptive to maximize their abilities and to help them compensate for their individual challenges. This training will build self confidence and self awareness that are transferable to other areas of the students’ life.

Physical Benefits

Our program helps to improve focus, and attention, and develop memory and cognition. Our training also helps to relieve stress and anxiety. Martial arts training is scientifically proven to be an efficacious sport-based mental health intervention that provides psychological therapy.
